Stop-motion animation workshops
I offer engaging stop-motion animation workshops designed to inspire creativity and storytelling. The number of days can vary, but I typically run three-day sessions covering pre-production, production, and editing. I also offer workshops focused on specific techniques, allowing participants to explore different styles of stop-motion animation.
In 2024/2025, I taught workshops at l'École la Vallée, Signal Hill Elementary School in Pemberton, and the Audain Art Museum in Whistler during spring break. These hands-on sessions guide participants through character creation, set design, and animation techniques, giving them the tools to bring their ideas to life.
Workshops can be tailored to different age groups and skill levels, though they are best suited for ages 8 and up. Whether in schools, museums, or community spaces, my goal is to provide a fun and accessible way for students to explore the magic of animation. Contact me to book a workshop!
March 2025 - Audain Art Museum
During spring break, a sold-out three-day stop-motion animation workshop was held at the Audain Art Museum in Whistler, with 15 participants aged 8 and up. Over the course of the workshop, different stop-motion techniques were explored. Each day focused on a different aspect of animation, including character creation, set design, production, and editing. The museum's rich collection sparked creativity, offering participants the opportunity to bring their ideas to life through the art of animation.
2024/2025 Signal Hill Elementary School
At Signal Hill Elementary School, I facilitated a three-day stop-motion animation workshop for two Grade 5-6 classes, spread across several weeks. This structure allowed students time between sessions to perfect their stories, characters, and sets. Each class participated in three separate workshops, focusing on storyboarding, character design, and set creation before moving into animation production and editing. The program offered students the chance to develop their creative concepts and bring their ideas to life through the art of stop-motion animation.

2024/25 - Ecole La Vallée
At École la Vallée in Pemberton, BC, a three-day stop-motion animation workshop was held for one Grade 4-5 class and one Grade 5-6 class, totaling six sessions. The program was spread over several weeks, allowing students time to refine their stories, characters, and sets between visits. Each class worked individually, starting with storyboarding and character creation, followed by animation production, and finishing with editing. This approach provided students the opportunity to fully develop their creative ideas and bring them to life through stop-motion.
